Print-ready PDF artwork with amended imprint – for you to print under license

Order print-ready artwork here, with the legally required changes to the small-print imprint, to get copies of FarageWatch printed yourself. (Please read the full description below.)

Description

Do you want to get copies of the FarageWatch newsletter printed yourself?

That’s fine under the Creative Commons license for the newsletter – but you MUST first change the legal imprint at the end of the newsletter.

Under electoral law, FarageWatch is seen as non-party campaign material, because it can reasonably be interpreted as aiming to influence support for a particular political party.

This means every newsletter must legally carry a small-print imprint with the name and a contact address for the individual who caused the material to be printed.

If you order newsletters through the FarageWatch shop, that’s the coordinator of FarageWatch Civic Media – but if you get them printed yourself, it’s you.

You must be willing to print an address at which you can be contacted. This does not have to be your home address – it can be anywhere you can receive mail. A PO Box is now acceptable.

The name and address of the printer of the newsletter must also be given.

For a token fee, FarageWatch Civic Media can supply you with print-ready artwork.

Unless you are already familiar with editing PDF documents, it is likely to be much easier for you to get FarageWatch Civic Media to do it for you from our own artwork files.

Place your order on this page.

Then you MUST email office@faragewatch.media before we can process your order, with:

  1. The “Promoted by” name (must be the person responsible for your own print order)
  2. That person’s full contact postal address including postcode
  3. The name and full postal address (including postcode) of the printer you will be using
  4. Will you be printing on recycled paper – yes/no? | If yes, does the printer also state vegetable-based inks will be used? – yes/no?

We will email your PDF file to you when it is ready, usually within 2 working days of receiving both your order and your details email.

Is this anything to do with a political party?

No. FarageWatch is produced and sold by FarageWatch Civic Media, a new, independent, not-for-profit publishing company.

Parties other than Reform UK and their politicians are not mentioned in FarageWatch. The voices quoted/cited challenging Nigel Farage and Reform UK policies in the newsletter are all non-party voices.

I’ve never leafleted before. Do you provide any tips?

How long will it take me to deliver a bundle of newsletters where I live?

This varies greatly, depending not just on how fast you move, but also on how close or how far apart the letterboxes are where you live!

* In an average neighbourhood in a town or a city, 100-125 newsletters an hour is often about the rate an average volunteer, moving fairly briskly, can achieve.
* In a densely populated urban area, especially if housing is terraced or there are blocks of flats with all the letterboxes outside, you may manage 150-175, or even 200+ newsletters an hour.
* In a sparse area – a rural village, well-to-do outer suburbs, or anywhere with large detached houses – you can expect to post 50-80 newsletters in an hour.

I’ve never leafleted before. Do you provide any tips?

Yes. When you order, we’ll send you a few simple tips to help you leaflet effectively and safely.

I’d love to chip in to the project, but I can’t deliver a bundle of newsletters myself.

We completely understand!

FarageWatch is a brand new, small independent publisher, and in our launch period we are concentrating on shipping newsletter bundles directly to paying buyers.

We do have plans for the future to open crowdfunding, allowing you to sponsor a bundle for someone else to deliver – followed by a volunteer pool with centralised matching. Once the project is bedded down, we’ll be progressing these Phase 2 expansion plans.

Please subscribe to the FarageWatch mailing list, and we’ll update you on when crowdfunding is going to open.

You are also welcome to request an invitation to join the FarageWatch Community Forum, where you can connect with other project supporters. The Forum has local groups, and you could seek to make an arrangement directly with someone there to order a bundle of newsletters to be delivered to them instead of you.

We do have plans for the future to open a volunteer pool, and a crowdfund allowing people to sponsor newsletter bundles for volunteers in their area (or anywhere). Once the project is bedded down, we’ll be progressing these Phase 2 expansion plans.

You are also welcome to request an invitation to join the FarageWatch Community Forum, where you can connect with other project supporters. The Forum has local groups, and you could look for any other Forum users who are looking to sponsor others to deliver newsletters they order – or to organise a community crowdfunder.

If this project goes viral, will you cope with demand for bundles?

Yes! We have contingency plans to arrange within days a contract with a third-party order fulfilment warehouse, in the event of demand for FarageWatch bundles exceeding the publisher’s in-house fulfilment capacity.

It would suit me better to get copies of FarageWatch printed myself, can I do that?

Yes, but you must first change the legal ‘imprint’ information in the newsletter. As you would be responsible for the copies being printed, you will legally be the promoter, not the FarageWatch Civic Media coordinator. Therefore you are required to print (in small print at the bottom) your own name and an address at which you can be contacted.

For a nominal fee, FarageWatch Civic Media can supply print-ready newsletter artwork amended with your name and contact address, legally compliant for you to get printed yourself. [Order here…]

Will there be further issues of FarageWatch?

Provided Issue 1 sells reasonably well, then yes, absolutely, FarageWatch will publish further issues in the months and years to come.

Is there anything else I can do to help the project?

We’re a brand new independent project starting from scratch. It would really help if you can spread the word about FarageWatch.

  • Tell a personal contact or two if that’s appropriate in your world.
  • If you use social media, please follow FarageWatch on your platform(s) of choice. Then if you can share, like and/or comment on any of our social media posts, that would really help get FarageWatch heard about by more people.

And if you’re a self-starting activist (or might become one to support FarageWatch!), you can also request an invitation to join the FarageWatch Community Forum, where you can connect with others to collaborate on funding and/or distribution of FarageWatch where you live.
